Collection Methods

Plirin supports two collection methods for invoices:

Send Invoice

The standard billing flow for remote customers:

1. Create the invoice and add line items
2. Save as draft or send immediately
3. Customer receives an email with a payment link
4. Customer pays at their convenience via the hosted payment page
5. You get notified when payment is confirmed on-chain

Best for: freelancers, agencies, B2B services, any situation where the customer isn’t present.

Immediate (POS)

The point-of-sale flow for in-person transactions:

1. Create the invoice and add line items (including optional tip)
2. A QR code is generated immediately
3. Customer scans and pays on the spot
4. Payment confirms in real-time

Best for: retail, restaurants, events, any face-to-face transaction.

Note

The collection method is set at invoice creation time and cannot be changed after. Draft invoices always use the Send Invoice flow.
