Discounts & Promotions
Discounts reduce what you are billing on an invoice, by a percentage or a fixed amount. They work whether or not you accept stablecoin payments: the discount applies to the invoice itself, so it is just as useful for an early-payment incentive (“2% off if you pay within 10 days”) as for a promotion.
Promotion codes are the typed strings a customer redeems; a discount can exist without one.
Creating a discount
Section titled “Creating a discount”Navigate to Discounts and click Create discount:
- Code — the code customers enter (e.g., WELCOME20)
- Discount type — percentage off or fixed dollar amount
- Amount — the discount value (e.g., 20% or $10)
- Max redemptions — optional limit on total uses
- Expiry date — optional expiration
Applying discounts
Section titled “Applying discounts”When creating an invoice, enter a coupon code in the Discount field. The discount is applied to the invoice subtotal after line-level discounts.
A discount cannot bring a total to zero: a code that would cover the whole amount is refused when it is applied, so a 100% code cannot be redeemed.
Tracking usage
Section titled “Tracking usage”The Discounts page shows each discount’s:
- Total redemptions
- Remaining uses (if capped)
- Total discount given
- Status (active, expired, or depleted)
