Send Your First Invoice
Invoices let you send professional, branded payment requests with line items, taxes, and due dates. Your customer receives an email with a link to pay.
-
Go to Invoices
In the dashboard sidebar, click Invoices. Then click Create Invoice.
-
Add customer details
Enter your customer’s name and email address. If you’ve invoiced them before, select them from the dropdown.
-
Add line items
Click Add Line Item and enter:
- Description (e.g., “Logo design”)
- Quantity
- Unit price
Add as many line items as you need. You can also link items to products from your catalog.
-
Configure invoice details
Set the following:
- Due date — when payment is expected
- Invoice number — auto-generated as INV-0001, INV-0002, etc.
- Tax — uses your default tax rate from Settings, or override per-invoice. If you are a VAT-registered EU merchant (see Tax & VAT settings), each line instead takes a VAT rate (defaulting to your standard rate), and the invoice shows a per-rate VAT breakdown.
- Discount — optional per-line percentage or fixed amount
-
Preview and send
Review the invoice preview to check amounts, line items, and branding. When ready, click Send Invoice. Your customer receives an email with:
- Invoice summary
- A “Pay Now” button linking to the hosted payment page
- A PDF attachment of the invoice
-
Track payment
Back on the Invoices page, your invoice shows its current status:
- Draft — saved but not sent yet
- Sent — email delivered, awaiting payment
- Paid — payment confirmed on-chain
- Overdue — past due date, not yet paid
